Overview

At STAGS we have a firm commitment to ensuring a first class education for all of our Post 16 students. We provide an outstanding learning environment, both in terms of our facilities and our teaching and learning provision, which leads to excellent results.

Our Sixth Form has a strong sense of community and purpose and we offer a range of academic and enrichment opportunities including a number of enterprise programmes. We are passionate about personal development and our students undertake many leadership roles within the whole school setting. Students are taught by specialist teachers who are inspirational and passionate about their subject, which leads to outstanding outcomes.

We are a hardworking, friendly and supportive learning community and students receive a personalised education which is both demanding and rewarding. Through the excellent pastoral care and guidance offered, students develop as confident learners who are proud of their abilities, highly ambitious and excited about reaching their potential.

Facilities & Resources

We have spacious Sixth Form facilities with extensive study areas and student designed leisure facilities.

Students are able to undertake their independent study in our quiet study room. Computers are available and students are welcome to bring in their own devices and take advantage of the WiFi. In addition, we have a communal work area where students can undertake group work.

We provide a generously sized common room with a barista staffed coffee bar and lunch area. We are fortunate to have large amounts of green space around our school and students can also use our modern sports hall and gym facilities. In the Summer, we also have a heated indoor pool available for use.

Many Sixth Formers enjoy using the well-equipped library and access to high quality careers guidance. We have iMacs in our state-of-the-art Innovation Centre and many other outstanding facilities throughout the school.
